Ski Trip to Taos Ski Valley

Thursday March 18 to Monday March 22

Every year we team up with the Snowballers Ski Club to bring you these fun economical ski trips.  Oh, you say you don't know how to ski, no problem.  There are always a few participants who sign up for their first ski experience.  The resort offers excellent ski and snowboard lessons!  So if you've wanted to learn how to ski or snowboard, you can do it here.

For those of you who have not heard the great stories about our ski trips, here are some details.  We depart Fort Worth for a long weekend of great skiing and camaraderie.  This is an economical trip with 40 people per sleeper bus.  Some people don't like to travel this way; others love it and go several times a year.  You may be asking why you would want to spend 12-15 hours on a bus.  Well, the number one reason is the cost.  If you fly on your ski trip, you can easily pay triple.  But the best thing about this trip is that you are on a bus with 40 awesome people.  It's BYOB, we hang out and relax, and everyone has a great time and makes new friends.  We all ski together and go out on the town together.

TRIP DETAILS:  For $329 per person ($339 after Jan 18, 2010), you get round trip transportation to Taos, New Mexico and 2 nights lodging.  We also get discounts on lift tickets and ski rentals.

Lodging will be provided at the Sagebrush Inn.  The Inn is located in the town of Taos.  Every morning after breakfast (hot breakfast is included in the trip) everyone will load up into the bus for the drive up to the mountain.  At the end of the day, the bus will take everyone back to the Inn.  All meals, except for the provided breakfasts, will be on your own.

For this trip you need to be at the designated bus departure location around 6pm on Thursday March 18th.  This will give you time to check in on the bus and load up your gear.  The bus will promptly leave at 7pm!  If you are late, you will be left behind, it has happened before.  We have a tight itinerary and I can't prevent the bus from leaving.  The bus will stop in Amarillo for a quick bite to eat then its back on the road.  Later we convert our tables and seats into bunks and then its lights out.  We will be awakened the next morning when we arrive at the Inn.  There we will quickly change into our ski gear and prepare to go up to the mountain. We will ski Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The buses will leave Taos at 4pm on Sunday and arrive in Fort Worth at 5am on Monday.

This trip will sell out!  They always do.  I am telling you now that if you want to guarantee your spot you need to send in your checks.  Don't wait until the last minute.

PAYMENT DETAILS:  Use this form.  All payments are to be made to Snowballers Ski Club.  You will need to send in 2 checks together.  The first check is for $50 and this is to confirm your reservation.  Date that check the day you send it in.  The second check is for the remaining balance and needs to be dated one month before the trip (in this case it's February 18).  If you wish, you also have the option to pay in full by check, or if you want to pay by credit card you can contact Snowballers to set it up.  Your spot on this trip is not guaranteed until you receive confirmation of receipt of your money from Snowballers.

About a month before the trip you will recieve an email with another order form for your lift tickets and ski rentals.  Your lift tickets and ski rentals will need to be paid in full prior to your departure.

If you have any questions, please contact Snowballers Ski Club or Daniel at daniel@dfwoutdoors.com or 817-738-7583.
